Shoemaking

Black leather loafer

Driven by my curiosity to explore new materials, I took my first step into soft leather goods during my time at the Rhode Island School of Design. To challenge myself and gain hands-on experience, I enrolled in a shoemaking class.

Inspired by my love for high-end slip-on shoes, which I enjoy wearing daily, I decided to fabricate my pair using black leather. This project allowed me to merge craftsmanship with personal expression and deepened my appreciation for materiality and detail in shoemaking,
